FBC site changes

I installed a forum for us and the link is at the top. I put in a Classified section since the old one sucked. If you are going to post images, they have to be 400px wide.

EDIT: I added a slideshow with all of your old pictures from BC619. You can upload your own recent pictures by using the UPLOADER found underneath the Donation button. You can click on the small picture to see the full-size version.

EDIT: The last forum posts show up above the Chat Box. I may change this later, let’s see how it works out. It’s a good way of seeing if anything new was posted, like something for sale.

Site updates: Twitter, ads and MTB Notes

A lot of us have smart-phones so I figure I’ll give an FBC Twitter account a test run. Both the iPhone and BlackBerry have Twitter apps, give it a go if you have time. The login info is the same as our Vimeo account. Send me an email if you forgot what it is.

Ads
In an attempt to increase FBC revenue, I’m allowing Google to use different sized ads on the site. I can always modify the conditions if they get too distracting.

MTB Notes Page
If you have a useful link or info that can benefit the group, you now have permission to edit the MTB Notes page found on the top right of your screen. Simply click on New Post > Pages and you can edit that page. I recently added 2 links for titanium hardware.

Sorry for the trouble! I tracked down a bad security plugin that effectively locked some of you guys out of your own account. If you are experiencing problems logging in, drop me a msg and I’ll get you going.

The chat window has been updated. If you click on the + or – at the bottom of the chat window, it will change its size.

The classified postings, with picture thumbnail, now get listed underneath the Chat Window.

The site software has been upgraded and it feels a little peppier.

NEW FEATURE!

We have a working EVENT CALENDAR now. All you have to do is click on New Post > Go to Events > Create your event. The Location database will slowly grow as we enter new rides. Feel free to add your own future rides. Features:

-Sidebar lists the next 3 upcoming rides. Click on the Location to view the ride details
-RSVP your attendance
-Lists riders who have RSVP’d for the ride
-You can enter a recurring event
-Maps are automatically created for new Locations

First of all, thanks for all of your support! FBC has gone high-tech since the days of 619. In case you’ve been hiding in your cubicle the past few months, here are some notable changes/additions:

FBC has gone HD! Check out our FBC Vimeo Plus account at http://www.vimeo.com/fullbodycramp for the best quality HD playbacks. If you want to log in and post/repost any of your videos, feel free to log in and do so. You should have received an email with the account info a week ago.
We have a dedicated gmail account for your FBC related account registrations. Use fullbodycramp at gmail dot com. Email me if you don’t have the account details.
FBC Mobile for your mobile hijinks! If you want to read the shoutbox only, click on the FBC Mobile link at the top right. Thx for the suggestion Higs!

NEW FEATURE: Add a weather forecast to your post

This will come in handy if you make a post for an upcoming ride. That way we can see the current conditions and make a better attendance judgement. All you have to do is insert this code into your post and change the city, if applicable: replace the ( and ) with [ and ]
